Visual Artists
We're so proud of our artists. We're positively glowing!
Sure, we support the environement, that's a given, but we also want to give a shout out to the arts. Without either of them our world just wouldn't be much to look at. So, without further delay...

Derek Gores remembers walking the woods with his Dad as a kid in New England, counting all the variations of green. The love of observation and creation carried him to Rhode Island School of Design, and on to a fearless range of professional art. Licensed apparel art for ESPN, NFL, Reebok, Lucasfilm, Major League Baseball, plus music merchandising for the Eagles, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Van Halen, ICP, and Hannah Montana... 'for the kids in the heartland'. Abstract and figurative painting catch him exploring the dynamic between natural and man-made, both in life and in the application of paint. These days, Derek lives in beautiful Brevard County, Florida with his wife and their three girls. He shows his work in several galleries, and Derek also teaches at local museum schools. See his website for the latest news.

Matthew grew up in many different homes in many different cities. He was given a strong moral foundation and was always pushed to follow his heart. At a young age art became his outlet, it was his escape from the pressures of contemporary culture. A culture that teaches us how to live our lives as though we couldn’t do without it. This is what drives Matthew’s art practice, to give the viewer something to reflect on, or, meditate on, that may actually provoke internal thought.
Matthew received his BA in fine arts from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL and is currently working towards an MFA in Painting from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He also teaches an undergraduate class there and runs/curates a gallery downtown.

Although Jake McCain wasn’t formally trained in art, he was born into a family of artists. His home was filled with generations of painting and drawings including those of his father and his brothers. Jake started drawing as soon as he could pick up a pencil. He saw computer art and animation as a growing industry and wanted to learn how to use the computer as a creative medium.
Eventually, Jake attended the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh, NC. Upon graduation he took a job designing Outdoor Advertising in Jacksonville, Florida. Jake now works in Jacksonville at a local TV station that is a duopoly, operating two stations. He has worn several hats there and has completed things such as painting a set, print work, web, as well as 2D and 3D animations. Jake now supervises in the graphics department as an Art Director and an Assistant Brand Manager, supervising the Promotion Department where they write scripts, shoot video, edit, and produce on air spots that market their brands via television, radio and internet

The Intoxicators! were founded in 2001, and have gone on to become one of the best surf bands in the Southeastern United States. Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, their music is a raw combination of classic surf, rockabilly, and space surf, with a little bit of intellectual stimuli thrown in at the right moments just to make things interesting! With the dual guitar attack of Gary Evans and George Dyal, the thundering bass of Adam Watson, and the caveman like pounding and Shriner fez wearing drumming of Brian Crum, the band has played shows and festivals around the south with such bands as Los StraitJackets, The Toasters, Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers, Deke Dickerson & The Ecco-Fonics, Nashville Pussy, The Blasters, The Bo-Keys, Red Elvises, The Dexter Romweber Duo, and Davie Allan & The Arrows. They have released four limited edition cd's "Live At The Legion," "Potentate's Aide," the "Phantom Mustang EP", and "Journey To The Center Of The Earth". The Intoxicators have been featured performers for the famous "Tiki Torch Nights" at Trader Vic's in Atlanta, GA, "Drive Invasion" in Atlanta, GA, "The Hukilau" in Fort Lauderdale, FL, "October Songfest" in Tallahassee, FL, and at the world famous Jetsetter Lounge in Lake Worth, FL.

Billy Chapman, an accomplished musician and song writer captivates his audiences with spectacular vocals and rhythm guitar. His heart sings through his music with original notes and lyrics. Spanning the ages with his music, he draws from the past, reflects on the present and looks to the future.
He performs at Private Parties, Clubs, Festivals, Receptions & Weddings.
Billy was born in Shirley; Massachusetts in 1966 while his father was in the army. At age five Billy discovered the turntable and spent many hours in the living room listening to music.
After trying piano and later, trumpet, he settled on guitar at the age of fourteen and never looked back. One night he tried to enter an open mike event at the famous Wine Gallery in Indialantic. The door guy told him to come up on Thursday night so, having no real repertoire, he went home and practiced for a week and when he came back ready to play, a band was already playing. He was sent away angry and just decided to go get a gig for himself. The next week he got a job at the local Hilton hotel in the lounge playing four nights a week and he had begun his professional career.
Billy still performs in solo mode and has released a cd named “Sweet Nothings” in 2005. The album was recorded on acoustic guitar and vocal using no overdubs or assisting instruments. The collection of original performances reflects twenty five years of playing and writing. “I wanted to represent what I do by myself. Some of the songs are older and some are newer, but they are all from the heart.”

My name is Julia and I write songs. That's what I do, most of the time when I don't sing, because for the majority of my time I just sing... or watch youtube.com (I'm so addicted). I also play piano, sometimes with a string quartet accompanying and I think that best describes my music - it's piano'n'strings oriented. It's also rock influenced and very personal, but for that you have to take a good listen and look at the lyrics.
I make my own string arrangements too and I get put down by the cellist for abusing the pizzicato. I actually make a lot of things myself, and it's not for the love of control, but mostly for the lack of somebody else around to do it. I tried taking the "normal" way, going to school, practicing a lot, and after many adventures and disappointments, I found myself in a place, where I finally understand what I want to do. I have great passion for music and art and I can't live without creating.
The wonderfull musicians who play with me are:
-Anna Caban (on violin),
-Adam Bruderek (on violin),
-Anna Prokopczuk (on viola),
-Patrycja Taradejna (on cello)
